Field notes
Same board as the 1125HS with more slots and cooling headroom, which makes it the better choice for 400 W CPUs and GPUs. Memory and BIOS caveats are identical. Firmware via BMC or SUM with the OOB license for BIOS. Well supported on ESXi 8, Proxmox and RHEL 9.
What we do with the SuperServer AS-2125HS-TNR
- Build-to-order Supermicro systems for storage, GPU, virtualization and edge
- Motherboard-level configuration: BIOS, BMC, memory population, PCIe bifurcation
- Firmware management with SUM and the BMC
- Component replacement and troubleshooting on any Supermicro generation
- OS and hypervisor installs including TrueNAS, Proxmox and Kubernetes nodes

Frequently asked questions
Why choose Supermicro over Dell or Lenovo?
Price per performance, unusual form factors (GPU, storage-dense, multi-node, edge) and flexibility. The trade-off is less hand-holding from the vendor, which is where we come in.
Do Supermicro servers have remote management?
Yes. Every server-class board has a BMC with IPMI, Redfish and a web console; X13/H13 use the ASPEED AST2600 with HTML5 KVM. A licence key may be needed for BIOS updates via the BMC on older boards.
Can the SuperServer AS-2125HS-TNR run a current operating system?
Check the field notes above. As a rule, current models are certified for Windows Server 2022/2025, ESXi 8 and RHEL 9; legacy models usually stop at Windows Server 2019 or ESXi 7 and may need Proxmox or an older Linux to stay useful.
