Field notes
The onboard 3108 RAID has a supercap module that ages out; expect cache policy warnings after 4 to 5 years. For ZFS or Ceph flash the controller or use the IT-mode HBA variant instead. Firmware via BMC or SUM plus StorCLI. ESXi 7 target; the SSG-621C class is the modern equivalent.
